DegensRoyale Leaderboard Play

A fast-paced 2D play-to-earn battle royale. Land, gear up, outlast the gas — the last one standing takes the entire pot.

Section 01

What is DegensRoyale?

DegensRoyale is an open-source 2D battle royale. Dozens of players drop onto a shrinking island, scavenge for weapons and gear, and fight until one is left standing.

The difference is the stakes. Every match is play-to-earn: players pay a small entry fee in an SPL token, the fees form a prize pot held in escrow, and the survivor (or surviving team) is paid the entire pot on-chain.

  • Objective: be the last player or team alive.
  • Loop: land, loot, fight, outlast the gas, win.
  • Stakes: pay to enter, winner takes everything.

Getting Started

  1. Open the site. On desktop you land on the splash screen — select “Tap to enter the field” to continue.
  2. Create your access. On a new device you’ll be asked for a username, a password, and your win wallet (a Solana public key). See Account & Win Wallet.
  3. Pick a mode and server. Choose Solo, Duo, or Squad and your region.
  4. Connect a wallet and pay the entry fee (when play-to-earn is enabled). See Play to Earn.
  5. Press Play and drop into the match.
Customize your character in Loadout and adjust audio, graphics and keybinds in Settings, both reachable from the main menu.
Section 03

Account & Win Wallet

On a newly detected access, a single full-screen sign-up appears and asks for:

FieldWhat it is
UsernameYour in-game nickname (max 16 characters).
PasswordProtects your local profile (minimum 4 characters).
Win walletThe Solana public key where your winnings are sent.
The win wallet is a destination only. You never paste a private key — only your public key. Winnings are paid there even if you pay the entry fee from a different wallet.
Double-check the win wallet address. If it’s wrong, prizes go to the wrong place. You can re-run sign-up by clearing site data.
Section 04

Play to Earn

This is the core of DegensRoyale: price-in (entry fee) and price-out (winner payout), settled on Solana.

How a paid match works

  1. Connect a wallet. The play-to-earn bar on the menu shows Connect Wallet (Phantom or Solflare). Set your wallet network to Devnet.
  2. Get test tokens. Use the faucet button (it appears after connecting) to receive test $DEGEN.
  3. Pay the entry fee. When you press Play, your wallet asks you to approve a deposit of the entry fee (default 1 $DEGEN) into the escrow.
  4. Play. Every player’s fee is pooled into the match’s prize pot, held by the escrow.
  5. Get paid. When the match ends, the escrow sends the entire pot to the winner’s win wallet. In team modes the pot is split between survivors.
Custodial escrow. A server-controlled escrow holds deposits during the match and verifies every payment on-chain before letting you in. The client is never trusted with the money logic.
Devnet for now. Tokens are test tokens with no real value. Keep your wallet on Devnet or deposits will fail verification.

Game Modes

DegensRoyale runs two play-to-earn formats. Both are single-player battle royales for now — every player for themselves, last one standing wins. What differs is how you get in and how the prize works.

ModeHow to enterPrize
ClassicPay an entry fee in $DEGENWinner takes the pot, paid automatically
King of the HillHold a minimum amount of $DEGEN — no feeDistributed by the operator

Classic — entry fee & pot

The standard format. You pay a small $DEGEN entry fee into the on-chain escrow before the match starts, and every fee in that match builds the pot. The winner takes the whole pot, paid out automatically to the win wallet you registered at sign-up. No fee, no entry — and if you don't win, the fee stays in the pot.

The pot and your entry fee are shown on the main menu before you play. Payout is handled by the custodial escrow described in Section 04.

King of the Hill — hold to enter

A no-fee format. Instead of paying each match, you simply need to hold a base amount of $DEGEN in your wallet to qualify — proof that you're part of the community. There is nothing to pay and nothing at stake from your balance: holding the tokens is the only requirement to drop in.

Hold, don't spend. Your $DEGEN never leaves your wallet in this mode. As long as you hold at least the minimum, you're in.
Prizes are distributed by the operator. King of the Hill rewards aren't paid by the automatic escrow — they're handed out manually by the DegensRoyale team to winners. Make sure your win wallet is set correctly so we can reach you.

Console & Commands

DegensRoyale has an in-game developer console for tweaking client variables (cvars) and binding keys.

  • Open the console (default backtick `), type a command, press Enter.
  • Inspect a cvar: type cv_master_volume to see its value; cv_master_volume 0.5 to set it.
  • Bind a key to an action: bind R reload.
  • Common cvars: cv_player_name, cv_loadout_skin, cv_movement_smoothing, cv_antialias, cv_minimap_transparency.
Most settings also have UI toggles in Settings — the console is just a faster, scriptable way to reach the same cvars.
Section 08

The Map

Matches play out on a procedurally arranged island full of buildings, terrain and obstacles. Use the minimap (corner) and the big map to navigate, track the gas, and ping teammates.

What you’ll find

  • Buildings and structures — dense loot, but also ambush spots.
  • Obstacles — crates, trees, rocks; many can be broken for loot.
  • Terrain — rivers, beaches and fields that affect movement and sightlines.
  • Airdrops — planes drop crates with high-tier loot. Risky to contest, worth it to win.
Section 09

Loot & Combat

Loot is everywhere — on the ground, inside buildings, and dropped by broken obstacles and defeated players. Walk over an item or press F to pick it up.

  • Weapons go into your weapon slots; you also keep fists as a fallback melee.
  • Ammo is weapon-specific — grab the right caliber.
  • Armor and backpacks increase survivability and carry capacity.
  • Healing items restore health and adrenaline.
  • Perks grant passive bonuses.
Section 10

Weapons

From SMGs and assault rifles to shotguns and snipers — each weapon has its own fire rate, damage, range and recoil. Match the gun to the fight: close quarters versus long range.

Pick up a second gun to swap on the fly. Right-click a weapon slot to drop it.
Section 11

Armor & Backpacks

Helmets and vests reduce incoming damage; backpacks let you carry more ammo and consumables. Higher tiers protect and carry more.

Section 12

Healing & Scopes

Stay alive by topping up health and adrenaline, and pick the right scope for your engagement range.

Healing items

Scopes

Gauze is fast but small; medikits heal a lot but take longer. Cola and tablets restore adrenaline, which slowly regenerates health.
Section 13

The Gas

A toxic gas steadily shrinks the safe zone, forcing players together. Standing in the gas drains your health, and it hurts more in later stages.

  • Watch the gas timer (top-left) for when the zone next shrinks.
  • The white circle on the map is the next safe zone — move there early.
  • Late-game gas is lethal fast; don’t get caught outside.
Section 14

Skins

Customize your character in Loadout. Skins are cosmetic only and never affect gameplay. Your current skin’s color is shown on the menu logo.

Basic skins are free. The rarer, more detailed skins are premium and cost $DEGEN — the higher the rarity, the higher the price. Premium skins show a price tag in the Loadout; select one to purchase it on-chain, after which it’s permanently tied to your wallet.

RarityPrice
Common5 $DEGEN
Rare15 $DEGEN
Epic40 $DEGEN
Legendary120 $DEGEN

You can also set emotes and a custom crosshair in the Loadout menu.

Section 15

Rules & Fair Play

By playing DegensRoyale you agree to these rules. Breaking them results in a ban.

No hacking

Any game modification or external software that gives a competitive advantage — aimbot, melee lock, visual assists, ESP, exploiting glitches — is forbidden.

  • First offense: 30-day ban
  • Second offense: permanent ban
Found an exploit? Report it privately to the admins. You won’t be banned for reporting — only for abusing it or sharing it.

No teaming (in solos)

Helping a player who isn’t on your team — not attacking them, gifting items, or coordinating — counts as teaming.

  • First offense: warning
  • Second offense: 7-day ban
  • Third offense: 30-day ban

No inappropriate usernames

No hateful, explicit, or harassing names. Keep it clean.

Play-to-earn note: attempts to defraud the escrow, abuse the faucet, or manipulate payouts are treated as hacking.
